Indore, Madhya Pradesh
The Madhav Srishti Chameli Devi Agarwal Medical Centre was established with the objective of providing complete medical facilities to each section of society. It is a well known fact that people from various neighbouring towns and villages come to Indore for medical services that are otherwise unavailable to them. However, even upon their arrival, they have little knowledge as to who to consult with and how to get the best treatment. Unfortunately, the biggest problem yet awaits as these procedures turn out to be extremely expensive and beyond affordable. Each year, 55 million people in India are pushed below the poverty line owing to their inability to pay medical bills.
The Medical Centre was thus set up to aid with this pervading issue. The idea was to provide all ancillary services rather than that of a hospital. The Centre has been constructed on 1 lakh square feet with a few facilities still under construction. It offers a multitude of services at subsidised rates to people belonging to all walks of life, especially the underprivileged.
It comprises an OPD with 2 sitting doctors and a visiting gynaecologist, a Pathology lab and a sample collection centre that provides its services at subsidised prices, a yoga training centre that offers free sessions from 6am
to 7am everyday as well as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadi Kendra that sells medicines at nominal rates.
Moreover, the Medical Centre also includes a Physiotherapy centre, a Radiology section, a 24 hour ambulance service, the Ayushman Bharat Consultation Centre and a Dialysis centre that conducts dialyses at only Rs.500 as opposed to Rs.2500 that is the minimum charge elsewhere.
The Madhav Srishti Chameli Devi Agarwal Medical Centre is currently working towards building an OPD offering all types of consultations with various doctors (orthopaedic, psychiatrist, endocrinologist, cardiologist,
dermatologist, paediatrician, gastrologist, neurologist, urologist, nephrologist, dentist and ophthalmologist). A 100 room facility is also being set up in order to provide food and lodging to patients and their families at extremely subsidised rates, thereby reducing their expenses and providing healthcare to every person who needs it.
